Alison Hammond Set to Host ‘The Great British Baking Show,’ Confirms She Is Single After Engagement Rumors

Alison Hammond announced that she will be the new host of The Great British Baking Show.

The 48-year-old reality star will team up with comedian Noel Fielding in the next series of the popular Channel 4 baking show.

Alison replaces comedian Matt Lucas. Allison first appeared on British TV as a contestant on Big Brother in 2002.

Allison had been in a relationship with gardener Ben Hawkins and were rumored to be getting married soon, after his dad revealed they were discussing marriage and even “proposed” to one another.

“It’s fake news babes, I’m not engaged,” Allison said last month.

Now on This Morning, Alison said was willing to go on the upcoming dating show Romance Retreat and said, “Well I am single, I’m single!”

The cast of the celebrity edition of Great British Bake Off was revealed last month.
